My name is Michele and while I was born way after the fire,my family has always lived in the vicinity,my mom and aunt went to Ryerson school.My mom lost her best friend Margaret Chambers in room 210 that awful day,she told me that it was quite difficult for her to understand why her best friend wasn't coming home,she used to go to her friends house and just sit outside.I myself went to the school 1977-1986.My sister and I were recently talking and we both remembered going outside the school on or around December 1 to pray and they never told us why,I and my sister knew why,but the teachers or priests never said anything,one time I did ask why they did not say who we were praying for and after all the years had passed,they told me to hush.The older I got the more livid I became at that response.If anybody can help me with a picture of Margaret Chambers,I will ever be so grateful,as my mom has said she would like to see a picture of her,maybe as a sense of closure.I think it is wonderful to see all the survivors talk about the fire and I want to thank everyone for opening up about that terrible day and the aftermath.
