I attended Religious Classes on Wednay afternoons at 2:00 p.m. for aprox. 4 or 5 years, during a period between 1957-1962. While enroled at Cameron Elememtary School.
Many friends(some close) my age were in caught in the fire
It was a time of great sadness and confusion.
Some of the surviving OLA students were transfered temporarily
to Cameron,and I remember them being taken aback and wthdrawn,
making little or no conversation with us , or betweeen themselves, quite understandardabaly.
My Late Father, a snall buisnessman, in the comunity purchaced and delivered Christmas presents to a Family who had suffered the loss of life by relation to the fire victims
Upon young adulthood I befriended a OLA fire victim who I later was to associated with as a fellow Musician.
My life was forever changed because of the OLA fire
And the victims will be in my prayers forever.
