About me: |
I was a seven year old boy in 1958 watching the funeral on television, in Cincinnati, and listening to Lo How a Rose e'er Blooming...the horror and sad beauty of this tragedy touched me so deeply then...and even now in 2008, this Christmas eve, I remember... whenever I hear that song my heart is opened.... I live in California, but spend much time in Chicago throughout each year...as I ride my bike through the city I sometimes think about the victims of the fire...I'm saddended and feel grateful for my own life.... I lost my younger sister when I was twenty three...a horrible tragedy for our entire family, so I understand what the families of the OLA fire victims have lived with all of these years...one can never forget.... God bless!
