My name is Gerald Carbon; we lived at Crystal & Karlov.
I went to OLA from K-3rd grade. Moved to suburbs approx August'58. I also have older sister, Nancy, that went to OLA from K-4th grade. We went to Kindergarten down the street in old house.
Nancy was in Ms. Tristano's class in 3rd grade; I would have been in 210,(I think), Sr. M Seraphica, for 4th grade.
When I did attend OLA, two of my good friends were Victor Jacobellis and John Jajkowski; I remember other names from lists I have seen.
Now aged 53 and living in NW suburbs of Chicago; married for 11 years/ two step-sons.
This tragedy has been in the back of my mind for all these years; why were we so lucky (by moving away) and others weren't?!
