I was 9 at the time of this tragedy, living in Saginaw, MI. I poured over the details in the newspaper and prayed for lost children intensely...there were so many victims about my age. I was haunted by the horror of their deaths and the heartbreak of their families. I am a teacher myself memory and the memory of this tragedy help me passionately communicate to my 8,9 & 10 year old students why we practice how to get out if a fire threatens. Blessings and continued healing to all impacted by this devastating event.
