About me: |
I was one of several children that found them selves trapped due to portable desks being turned over blocking the isle exit. We turned to the window to capture oxygen and saw our classmates standing across Iowa and the hook and ladder turning west on Iowa. I heard something at the classroom doorway and decided to climb over the turned over desk and meet a milkman coming into the classroom. He carried me out to safety. As I was released from this angels arms I witnessed my fellow trapped classmates coming done the fire trucks ladders. As I was being carried out I can still remember seeing Mr. Raymond on the stairway. It appeared to me he had a bad cut on his arm. I never did get a chance to thank that milkman or his family.
