I was in first grade in grosse pointe Michigan and our teacher st lucina op told us about the fire. She said the planned Christmas tree in our room was cancelled. I felt sad for all the lives of children lost. I am sensitive and I never forgot, In 1962 I lost my classmate nora armitage to a snake and that affected me deeply. We use to trade holy cards during the Mass. When the school said throw away the missals after Vatican two, I would NOT, cause nora and I shared my missal together at HOLY MASS. Increased my love of the Rosary
