| About me: | A very good friend of mine, Jimmy DePhillips was injured in the fire when he jumped out of the building. I attended St. Catherine's School in Kansas City, Mo and my 3rd grade BVM teacher taught at OLA in 1958. She told us many frightening stories about the fire and gave us a good awareness of fire safety in 1964. Our school accomodated her by placing our classroom on the first floor right next to the exit. My heart goes out to everyone affected by the fire and you are in my prayers! |
