Fortunately I was one of the first people out of the school on that fateful day...however, I lived down the street from the schooland was aware of everything going on. Our next door neighbor, Peter Cangelosi dies, he was in 4th grade, and also a 2nd cousin, Jimmy Ragona, also in 4th grade. The neighborhood was never the same...but those of us who grew up together after the fire remain bound together and the friendships have endured all these years...we had our reunion lastl year and I was part of the plannintg committee, these people are like family and it was great ---so suffice it to say, I do believe we are special because of that fire and I really believe we cherish life maybe just a little bit more the other people I have come in contact with throughoutmy life...
