I was 10 years old, living in Chicago, in 5th grade, when the horrible tragedy occurred. I did not go to the school, but was completely traumatized by the news on TV. I remember black and white images, had a nervous breakdown, was hospitalized, and it affected me most of my adult life. I have read "To sleep with the Angels", have been in touch with the author, am waiting for the tape, Angels too Soon in the mail, and have been interested in writing a screenplay that one day maybe my son (producer in California) will be able to make into a movie.
