My family were long time residents of the parish, going back to 1900 when Father Hines started a misson there. We moved out of state in 1952 aqd when we returned to Chicago in 1955 we moved into Presentation (BVM staffed) parish about 2 miles south of OLA. My grandmother continually lived in OLA. My immediate family returned to OLA the summer of '61at which time my two youngest brother (Tom & Mark) entered the new school as 5th & 6th graders. If we had never moved away my brothers would have been in 3rd, 4th & 5th grade classrooms at the time of the fire.
