About me: |
I was a student at Nobel School in the 50's. My father owned
a business on Chicago Ave. and had many friends in the neighborhood which is why he enrolled us in OLA for Catechism. By 1958 I was a freshman in Dundee H.S.
I worked with Charlene on getting St. Juliana's meeting room for your group before she passed away. Also, helped
get the pyro bill passed through Mc Auliff. I have met
some of you at the Race Track fund raiser a few years back.
Charlene was so good at making me feel welcomed that I figured without her I wouldn't be welcomed.
I never posted messages before because I thought I didn't
fit in but I find so many of our memories are the same. I
loved that neighborhood and enjoy all your good memories.
I hope you get all the help you deserve from the archdiocese for the memorial. They owe you so much more.
Unfortunately, my memories of OLA aren't so great. The nuns
really did not like us Publics and made sure we knew it.
